After being born in Colorado, Jane was raised in an Air Force family, which meant moving often and getting to live all over the US as well as overseas. She returned to her home state in 1976 and continued her career as an educator. Over the subsequent 8 years, she completed two graduate degrees at CU Boulder. For the following 30 years, Jane enjoyed teaching courses at the university level on all aspects of Communication.
Around 1999, Jane began to study visual arts as another creative outlet. Classes in watercolor painting soon presented opportunities to travel abroad with groups of other painters. Over the past ten years and into retirement, painting trips to France, Italy, Guatemala, and Scotland have been highlights of Jane’s development as a painter. Painting excursions around Boulder and to other parts of Colorado have also been a regular source of enjoyment and inspiration. Jane is now exploring other media and other forms of expression, such as multi media and abstract works.
